The Office of Suface Mining, U.S Dept of the Interior is an enforcement agency whose mission is to ensure that the land is restored to its natural beauty after mining is completed. Their mission is minimal these days with the use of our 300 years worth of coal in a solid downtrend. To expect it to come back is a very speculative bet. But it is another indication of how much energy with which this country is blessed.

This is an interesting topic. Energy is a tricky topic. Nuclear seems clean, but one mistake can kill a city for a century. Coal is definitely dirty is mishandled. Beijing and Shanghai proves that. Where is this Nikola TESLA free energy project that is popular in folk lore?
