The freedoms that we have enjoyed in the modern era stem from three R’s: Reformation, Renaissance, and Revolution. First, Reformation: when people learn for themselves that those speaking for God are corrupt and serving power and mammon. This knowledge helped lead to the Renaissance, which freed men from those who would oppress them, and expressed beauty in their creations. The arts are critical to our humanity. These two intellectual revelations lead to the third R automatically, which is Revolution. That’s when we realize that we have the keys to the chains that bind us the whole time, and only through ignorance are we imprisoned by these bonds. When the Revolution ended, the British played the tune, “The World Turned Upside Down.” The kingdoms of this world have been devoted ever since to putting it right side up in their eyes. To do so, you first have to overturn the Reformation; Biblical knowledge is literally nonexistent among people calling themselves Christian. The status of the arts today speaks for itself; ugliness is art and beauty is abhorrent. Automatically, the overturning of the Revolution follows. There is no freedom for people who do not have a common cause.

“Not just headaches”: They need to “study” this??? I would have thought it would be obvious – put young men and appalling weapon systems together in warring situations and this is what you get. It’s not as if it hasn’t happened before: Vietnam, World War I and II, etc. etc.
Not enough, folks? How about this:
    Or this OUTRAGE?

Exactly how much tax payer money has been used ” without tax payer permission” for this impeachment theater? How much money could have gone to help the American people? Why don’t these congressional people pay for their actions out of their own pockets? We need accountability not the squandering of taxpayer monies. I think on the next presidential ballot there should be a box where we check where we want our tax payer dollars to go! Like I am NOT gung ho on a trillion dollars to the military. I am patriotic but our values are ” out of whack” I don’t see the justification for all this military spending. Elizabeth Joyce renowned psychic astrologer on her posting for 2020 is concerned that while we have this focus on Iran and Iraq the real threat will come from INDIA and PAKISTAN [ both are armed with nuclear weapons and both HATE each other} She predicts a possible nuke attack by INDIA and Pakistan on each other for 2020? These countries HATE each other have been in a long term border dispute . THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

“-A new generation is growing up in our midst, a generation actuated by new ideas and new principles. It is serious and enthusiastic for these new ideas and its enthusiasm, even when it is misdirected, is, I believe, in the main sincere. But we are living in a sceptical and, if I may use the phrase, a thought-tormented age: and sometimes I fear that this new generation, educated or hypereducated as it is, will lack those qualities of humanity, of hospitality, of kindly humour which belonged to an older day. Listening to-night to the names of all those great singers of the past it seemed to me, I must confess, that we were living in a less spacious age. Those days might, without exaggeration, be called spacious days: and if they are gone beyond recall let us hope, at least, that in gatherings such as this we shall still speak of them with pride and affection, still cherish in our hearts the memory of those dead and gone great ones whose fame the world will not willingly let die.”

    From: James Joyce. “The Dead.”
